Terms like civilization, science, reason, justice, prosperity, etc., are spoken from the top to the bottom in the language of people worldwide. Hundreds of international organizations, states, and their affiliated units... Unions, partnerships, summits, reports... Yet, nobody feels that the world is heading in a positive direction.
Why do you think that might be?
Perhaps because, deep in our subconsciousness, humans still possess primitive and simple reflexes due to the genes required for being human. In other words, no matter how good our intellectual level is, our behaviors, decisions, and actions lag behind the civilization we claim to have reached...
Consider this: can't a United Nations Secretary-General jump into a helicopter, land next to Assad, and ask, "What are you doing, and what will happen to all these people?" Hasn't this been said in the past?
Is it really that difficult in this age to decipher the structure of a virus like the flu, and how come the countries of the world cannot organize themselves in even a single matter in this era of civilization?
While 10-15% of the world shares 80% of wealth, do we not have any economic mentors to fix this situation?
Does justice prioritize and matter depending on the country where the problem occurs? What happened to universal principles...
The cradle of civilization, even after the tears shed over this issue in the past, how can it start to embrace national socialist rhetoric in this century...
Examples can be multiplied, but as I mentioned at the beginning, it is more useful to look at the root causes rather than discuss these. I accept that humanity has the knowledge, experience, know-how, skills, and capacity to rectify these issues. However, in this case, it also comes to mind that there are other reasons lurking beneath the surface. The reason is our preference, even without realizing it, for acting according to primitive and simple reflexes in the subconscious. Otherwise, I can't think of another explanation!
The future of the world depends on humanity increasing its awareness rather than engaging in sterile and narrow-minded debates. Unfortunately, we cannot see any leaders or initiatives that will develop this awareness. It's like trying to move forward blindly. The key to every phenomenon, feeling, thought, and issue, both within and outside of us, lies in awareness. In other words, when everyone is a global citizen and responsible, perhaps our evolution in civilization will go a little further; otherwise, my fear is that the world's nail will come off…
