Don't Exhaust Yourself! Increase Your Awareness

One of the fundamental problems encountered in interpersonal communication is the other party not understanding or being convinced of the subject you are trying to convey. Despite all the good intentions and efforts of the speaker, this situation leaves them disappointed as they cannot reach a conclusion. Furthermore, it can increase the risk of misunderstanding and premature judgment, leading to unnecessary negativity.

Everyone's past, region, education, and personality cannot be the same, and expecting such a thing is impossible. Therefore, it is natural for different people to have different reactions and interpretations in the face of subjects and events. The problem arises when the subject is discussed between two different personalities. Usually, one side becomes insistent, and the other side takes a defensive position, responding. This is exactly the point where the one with higher awareness should think about the profile of the other person, empathize, and convey what they want to say accordingly. In other words, the more aware you are, the less effort you put into it! With higher awareness, you can stay focused on the subject, avoid stubbornness, avoid searching for arguments to convince the correctness of your idea, think broadly, and make healthier interpretations by understanding the context of the other party. This reduces the risk of conflict, keeps the subject within its context, and what is said may be more understandable for the other party. Achieving a conclusion or the chance of the parties reaching a judgment, even if different, increases, and a healthier discussion takes place.

However, the word "awareness" should not be overlooked here. That is, the more our awareness increases, the more our ability to see the subject as a whole also increases. Don't be afraid that this will make you passive in the argument; on the contrary, because you can make comments by considering both what is on your mind and what is on the other party's mind, you will have much more confidence and persuasive power, leading you to a healthier conclusion. Of course, remember that these are not for your ego! Falling into this mistake will bring you back to the starting point. The important thing is that, with the increase in your awareness, you create an independent value from the ego and reach a collective interpretation rather than a biased one. Humanity will be liberated from primitive conflicts and problems with the increase in this awareness.
