Getting Angry with Einstein!

Einstein experienced the Second World War, immigrated, never disconnected from science, and used his genius qualities with passion for his work. He proved many theories such as the relationship between mass and energy and the photoelectric effect. He issued warnings about the dangers of nuclear weapons. He published more than three hundred articles...

This man lost a daughter, and one of his sons suffered from schizophrenia at a young age. He lost his second wife to illness in America. For himself, he said, "If I were not a physicist, I would be a musician because I live my day like music." He initially advocated for liberalism, then socialism, and later the idea of a democratic global government.

Before he died from internal bleeding in 1955, he refused surgery and showed greatness by saying, "Artificially prolonging life is not pleasant at all. I have done what I can, and my time has come; let it be graceful."

Nuclear physicist Oppenheimer said afterward, "There was almost no sophistication and entirely otherworldliness. In him, there was always a wonderful purity that was once childlike and profoundly stubborn." This man, on his deathbed, left a word to the whole world, saying, "Man has bothered himself too much with the trivialities of life." Before this, he said, "I tried to understand everything, but I couldn't understand the energy of love." Even realizing this shows how high his level of awareness was and reminds us, with self-criticism, how futile we are.

From this story, we can easily understand that Einstein's consciousness of otherworldliness and purity developed parallel to his advancement as a scientist. The man increased his awareness so much that despite all his scientific discoveries, he managed to internalize the meaninglessness of the world, perhaps by contemplating the universe, and achieved an extraordinary state.

Unfortunately, our world does not host many individuals at this level. Is it not ungrateful to be angry that such a man, who achieved total surrender while making inventions for civilization and contributing to the evolution of humanity, passed away without explaining the energy of love? If it is, then who else can we ask about it?
