Leadership-like

Vision is the formal representation of where a company envisions itself in the future and how it wants to be perceived. When creating a vision, internal and external factors are certainly considered, teamwork is employed, and resources are reviewed. A roadmap to the vision is established by evaluating opportunities and risks. The organization implements, monitors, and measures necessary planning and activities accordingly. Effective internal and external communication is utilized.

However, it should be remembered that the difference created in the vision is always dependent on the creativity of a good leader. Nowadays, those leading organizations can be observed to be either too managerial or overly visionary, and leadership competencies are often lacking. For instance, motivating employees to work towards the goals set to achieve the vision and self-control are necessary. However, the entire burden of reaching the vision cannot be placed on the shoulders of employees by merely appearing leadership-like; otherwise, there wouldn't be much need for leaders in that case.

A good leader should be able to determine the paths to be taken through self-assessment and creativity, rather than asking others. This is where the difference is created! Both employees and other external stakeholders will naturally follow such leadership with excitement and motivation.

In the new generation of leadership, it includes systemic leadership. Creative individuals who can create new systems rather than navigating within existing ones are essential. Leaders should stand out not only for their managerial abilities but also for their ability to manage change and bring innovation to the organization's policies. Personalities with ethical values and diligence take a step ahead. A general manager may be a good manager but not necessarily a good leader, and vice versa. Therefore, success (achieving the vision) requires comprehensive leadership skills.

Appearing leadership-like, after a while, leads to internal teamwork and productivity as well as a decline in external image and success. On the contrary, real leadership results in increased motivation, success, and supports the rise of standards. In the long run, the difference created by a true leader remains enduring!
